Top 10 Las Vegas Hotels

Author: Simon Dexter

Planning that perfect Las Vegas trip to fulfil all your gambling dreams? Whilst you’re enjoying the sights and sounds of this amazing city, you’ll want to stay in a hotel that’s classy, comfortable and right in the heart of the action. Littlewoods Casino has brought together some of the best hotels on the Strip so you can enjoy the casino holiday of a lifetime.

1. Four Seasons Hotel

Four Seasons HotelSurprisingly for Las Vegas, the Four Seasons is one of only a handful of hotels that doesn’t have its own casino.

This means it’s a great retreat after a hard day at the tables, where you can relax in a hotel that is famed for its quality of service, good taste and attention to detail. You’ll also get panoramic views of the strip, and full access to the facilities of Mandalay Bay.

As you’d expect from one of the most famous hotels in Vegas, the spa and relaxation facilities are second to none. One to try is the eucalyptus steam room, and there’s no better way to psyche yourself up for another casino session than by lounging by the private pool sipping your complimentary cabanas.

Rooms start from $200 a night, but if you are in Vegas for a special occasion, the Four Seasons Room fits the bill. Featuring floor to ceiling windows with stunning views over the desert, mountain ranges and the Strip, a huge king size bed, 42” plasma screen and a full marble bathroom with deep soaking tub. Well, it’s not everyday you visit Las Vegas is it!

2. The Venetian

The VenetianWith nightly rates from $175, you might think that the suites at The Venetian would skimp compared the other ‘big’ hotels. Well, you couldn’t be more wrong!

At around 700 square feet, even the standard rooms at the Venetian are nearly double the size of rival hotels on the Strip. With first class restaurants noted for attracting celebrity chefs including Emeril Lagasse and Wolfgang Puck, The Venetian really is an all-in-one experience.

With three levels of suite accommodations you’ll find something to suit your budget, and if you really want to push the boat out and ‘do Vegas in style’ the newly opened Venezia hotel tower is a standout landmark – and on the Strip, that’s a pretty good accomplishment! The $275 million, 12-story addition includes 1,013 suites private garden terraces, languid pools and fountains.

One thing we would recommend you make time for is a visit to the poker tables in the famous Venetian poker rooms – sure to be a gambling experience you’ll never forget.

3. Bellagio

BellagioThis Italian-themed, elegant hotel features a world-class casino as well as a great range of dining options and even designer shopping outlets. With rooms starting from just $140 a night, the Bellagio offers great value as well as a dash of opulence.

Guest rooms offer fantastic views over Lake Bellagio, adding a touch of romance you may be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. The Italian influence runs right through rooms at all budget levels, with luxury fabrics and furniture.

The Bellagio has great pedigree, and received the coveted AAA Five Diamond Award – think the Michelin Star of hotels. Anyone who has seen recent gambling movie blockbuster Ocean’s 13 will know how sought after this particular award is by hotel owners in Vegas.

The Bellagio also offers something a little different in the form of its Villas. Theses private estates come in two or three bedroom varieties and offer a wealth of facilities including a 24-hour butler, service, his & hers marble bathrooms, sauna, even a private salon, barber and massage room!

4. Mandalay Bay Hotel

Mandalay Bay HotelA great hotel if you’re taking the family or you don’t want to eat into that casino pot with expensive hotels (you can do that after your jackpot win right!).

From just $110 a night, you can make use of the largest hotel water theme park in Vegas, and experience lively bars, restaurants and clubs.

Chic rooms are the order of the day, and the Mandalay Bay Hotel has built up a reputation as a cosmopolitan resort with clean lines, which makes a refreshing change from the grand ‘European’ feel of the majority of other hotels on the Strip.

The jewel in the Mandalay’s crown is the Media Suite, which offers 360 views of Las Vegas. When you need to wind down after a hard day on the slots, why not watch a movie in what can only be described as your own personal mini-cinema, complete with an enormous 65” plasma television.

5. Palms Hotel

Palms HotelFor those after a bit of glamour the Palms hotel is where you should stay.

Since opening in 2001, the hotel regularly attracts the rich and famous, including many Hollywood celebrities.

Although located just off the Strip, the Palms is regarded as must for any casino-goers looking to do a bit of star spotting.

Television channel ‘Bravo’ film their Celebrity Poker Showdown at the Palms casino, whilst MTV favourite the Real World: Las Vegas also had a stint there – you can even stay in the Real World Suite. If you’re off to Las Vegas for a party or stag weekend, then two of the hippest clubs in town are located right here - Rain and the Ghost Bar.

The Playpen, not for the faint hearted, was created specifically to cater for soon-to-be-weds, and features stripper poles, hardwood dance floors and DJ spinning all the latest music.

A young adult’s paradise, the Palms has 455 guest rooms starting at around $80.

If you’re after something a little more low key, our top ten is concluded by five hotels you’ll find a bit more down to Earth.

6. Paris Las Vegas Hotel

Worth a stay for the buffet alone, you’ll find cuisine form every region of France and the cheese bar is not to be missed. When you arrive at the Paris, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d actually landed in the French capital, as the hotel features near-scale replicas of the Effiel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.  Featuring nearly 3,000 guest rooms starting from around $89, the Paris is a great place to stay if you’re on a budget.

7. THEhotel at Mandalay Bay

If the glitz and glamour of the Mandalay Bay Hotel is a little too much for you, this sleek hotel in the Mandalay Bay towers offers affordable suites that feature plasma televisions (you’ll even find one in the bathroom) and whirlpool tubs.

What’s more, you’ll have use of the Mandalay Bay resort facilities, including the water park, shopping and restaurants. Prices start from $139.

8. Green Valley Ranch

Escaping the hectic pace of the Strip, the Green Valley Ranch is the prefect retreat if you like to keep your gambling and relaxation time separate.

Homely yet stylish, a palm tree-lined swimming pool is one of the highlights of the Green Valley Ranch. Featuring just over 200 guest rooms that overlook the Strip or the desert mountains, prices at the hotel start from $96.

9. Red Rock Resort

The Red Rock Resort was the first billion-dollar resort and casino to be built off the Strip. With stunning views over the mountains, the Red Rock is great for families and features a kid-friendly movie theatre, playground, bowling alley and supervised activities. With over 816 guest rooms and suites starting at around $149, the Red Rock Resort is perfect for those family Vegas getaways.

10. Caesar’s Palace

The original ‘over-the-top’ Las Vegas casino resort. It’s been around for what seems like an age (originally opened in 1966), Caesar’s Palace is still popular with people looking to combine ‘old time’ Las Vegas with the new, contemporary facilities and offerings of newer hotels and resorts. Prices start from $110 per night.
