Henpecked man wins slot machine jackpot

Poor Sammi Zabib had been getting earache all week off his girlfriend for not buying her that pair of designer jeans she wanted. His other half had spotted them at a casino and was most upset that Sammi had not purchased them.

A week later Sammi found himself 0,000 richer after finally giving in to the pressure and driving himself three hours to pick up the said jeans because the New Yorker scooped a slot machine jackpot while trying to kill some time before the designer boutique opened.

“I was just trying to kill time until the store opened so I could get her those jeans,” he said. “Then the machine stopped working. I didn’t know why, so I called security. They came over, took a look at it, and said, ‘You won the jackpot!’”

“My legs started to crumble. I had to sit down or I would have fallen to the floor. This is the most I’ve ever won. I’ve won a few jackpots - like ,500, ,000 - but never like this.”
“I come down here once a week because I like the place. I play different machines all night long. But I never look at how much I’ve lost. If you do that you’ll never come back,” he added with a laugh.

He quickly made a call to his loved one who proceeded to scream for joy.

“She wasn’t mad anymore,” he quipped. “She’s waiting for me at home now.”

After receiving payment Sammi bought the aforementioned jeans that had caused him to go to the casino in the first place.

“They’re the hot brand right now,” said a spokesman for the boutique referring to the jeans. “They go for 9 a pair.”

Zabib plans to send some of his winnings to his mother and sister back in Lebanon.

“I always send them money,” he said. “The civil war was tough. I have very bad memories of that. But at least I can help them now.”

And for his girlfriend?

“Maybe buy her some more jeans,” Zabib said.
