Video Poker

Video poker is a combination of traditional poker and classic slot machines but online. Littlewoods offers you a variety of different slot poker machines from the comfort of your own home 24 hours a day.

Winning with Littlewoods Casino video poker is a case of challenging the machine, not other players, like in traditional poker. The machine will deal you five cards, at this point you have the choice to retain or replace as many of the cards as you see fit. Gaining any sort or hand as low as a pair at the end of your second deal will result in a prize. Video poker is a simple case of retaining your good cards and replacing your bad cards. The game is perfect for poker beginners as you only have to worry about your hand, not the dealer, not anybody else at the table.

Video Poker Rules, Strategy & Tips

How to Play Video Poker Online

Web video poker follows the same principles as traditional poker; the objective is to gain the highest ranked five card poker hand possible.

You must first decide how much you would like to bet and then deposit it into online video poker machine. You do this by first clicking on the desired amount in the bottom right hand corner and then clicking the money deposit area above it. You will see a note being fed into the machine. You may then select which coin denomination you wish to play - 25p, £1, £2, or £5. To increase or decrease denominations, please click on the "left arrow" or "right arrow" buttons, respectively, at the top of the Video Poker machine.

Once your money is in the video poker machine you have the choice of betting between one and five coins. Once you have decided upon your wager click the 'deal' button to be dealt your 5 card hand. You now choose how many of the cards you want to retain (or hold) by selecting them with the left mouse button. Then select 'draw' and the rejected cards (if any) will be replaced. It is at this point when your final hand emerges. Your final hand determines what you have won. The strategy of Video Poker is to know what all the winning combinations are and depending on the initial cards dealt, consider the odds of you drawing a winning card in the next draw.

Video Poker Odds & Payouts

Littlewoods offers you a variety of different video poker games, all with different payoffs. Your credit and coin denominations do not change however across the different games.

Deuces Wild

In the Video Poker machine "Deuces Wild" any 2 is considered as wild. If there is a wild card (cards) in the deck, then a hand with four cards of the same rank plus any deuce card is considered as a winning combination, "Five of a kind". Another difference in paytables for the games with wild cards is that "natural" Royal Flush (that is, Royal Flush without any wild cards) is paid higher than Wild Royal Flush.
